How to become a member of Academic Artists Associaiton

Please follow this process:

Submit 5 pieces of your original art to info@academicartistsassociaton.org with the subject:

Membership Submission for First Name, Last Name.

JPEG format only, minimum of 1200 pixels in largest dimension (2000 pixels recommended). Images should be high quality and of the artwork only (no frame, mat, wall, etc., if possible).

File names should not include your name.  They can include any or all of the other information about the artwork pictured.

For each work submitted you must also include:

1. The dimensions of the artwork

2. ​The medium of each piece

3. The year created

​

All submissions must have been completed in the past 5 years.

There will be a jury fee associated with the submission of $55.00 which must be paid via PayPal at the time of the submission. Submissions with no jury fee payment will not be considered.

Applications will be juried for acceptance as members by a panel of current Academic Artists Association members.  The jury process will be completed no later than July 15. Artists will be notified of the decision of the panel no later than August 1st to allow those who have been accepted to enter the annual exhibition as members.

If accepted, the current year's dues will be credited from the jury fee, and new members will be eligible for the member discount for show submission fees. Membership will continue in good standing with timely payment of yearly membership dues starting the following year and going forward. Members whose dues are not paid will be dropped from the membership list until all past dues are paid or the artist re-qualifies.

​Member submissions for 2026 have closed.  Any applications received will be juried in 2027.
